Work Package 14: Improve knowledge on immunological reactions directly related to vaccine improvement

Objectives
- 1) A direct comparison of the new selected candidate marker vaccine to the traditional C-strain with respect to consequences on the porcine immune status and evaluation of mucosal immunity due to the oral application.
- 2) Try to understand the mechanisms induced at the tonsil level after oral immunisation with a live attenuated strain and their implication in reducing the virus transmission to contact pigs.
